Lundin to drill further well in Barents Sea license

OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Lundin Norway to drill an exploration well in license PL609 in the Barents Sea.

The semisubmersible Island Innovator will drill well 7220/6-2, the fifth on the license since it was awarded in 2011.

Partners are Idemitsu Petroleum Norge and RWE Dea Norge.
