Crystal Heights contracts liftboat from Keppel FELS

SINGAPORE – Keppel FELS Ltd. has secured a contract from Crystal Heights Holdings Ltd. to build a high-specification liftboat worth $85 million.

The liftboat designed is by Keppel O&M’s liftboat design specialist, Bennett Offshore. Delivery is scheduled for 4Q 2017. It will have provisions enabling it to operate in China, the Middle East, or the Gulf of Mexico.

Keppel’s self-elevating and self-propelled liftboat design can operate at a water depth of 60 m (197 ft). It will be equipped with a 280-metric ton (309-ton) deck crane. In addition to open deck space for cargo storage, the vessel can accommodate 200 persons.
