Wood Group Mustang nets six-year Saudi support contract

Offshore staff

HOUSTONSaudi Aramco has awarded Wood Group a six-year offshore maintain potential program contract.

This comprises greenfield and brownfield engineering services, procurement, and construction management support for new facilities offshore Saudi Arabia. The contract carries options for two three-year renewals, and includes the establishment of an offshore engineering center in Al Khobar.

Wood Group Mustang will perform its work in the US, with the company’s Saudi Arabian joint venture Mustang-HDP responsible for the in-Kingdom scope. The program is set to employ up to 300 people.

Mustang-HDP has been providing engineering services to Saudi Aramco under a general engineering services (GES+) contract since 2011. That contract established a long-term framework for the supply of engineering, procurement, and construction management services to support offshore and onshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia.
