Statoil secures life extension for Oseberg C in North Sea

OSLO, NorwayStatoil has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway to extend use of Oseberg C and associated pipelines through March 2031.

Oseberg C is an integrated production, drilling, and accommodation facility in the northern Norwegian North Sea, in around 100 m (328 ft) of water.

Lundin Norway has PSA’s consent to use the drilling rig Maersk Guardian to permanently plug subsea well 7/8-5 S. The task is expected to take around 18 days to complete.
