PEMEX records another GoM platform accident

MEXICO CITYPEMEX has confirmed an explosion on the oil production platform Akal-H in the Gulf of Mexico. Reuters said the PEMEX accident resulted from an oil and gas leak.

The Reuters report continued to note that the three workers conducting routine inspections on the unmanned platform were evacuated with no injuries.

Akal-H is part of the Akal field complex that produced 177,000 b/d on average in 2014.
