Atkinson retires from IADC

HOUSTON – John Atkinson, International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) regional director-North Sea, will retire effective June 1.

Atkinson previously served as vice chairman and chairman of the IADC Australasia Chapter and also as vice chairman of the IADC North Sea Chapter.

“John brought an incredible amount of expertise and professionalism to his role as an advocate for the drilling industry in the North Sea,” said Mike DuBose, IADC vice president – International Development. “In his two years in this position, he has opened many doors, allowing IADC to have a voice on issues affecting our operations. For many years, John has tirelessly supported IADC and believed in our mission, and I wish him the very best in his retirement.”
