DoI affirms 2008 Chukchi Sea lease sale results

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The US Department of the Interior has affirmed the Chukchi Sea OCS Oil and Gas Lease Sale 193 and the leases issued in 2008 as a result of the sale.

That means the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management can start to review any exploration plans for the area. That includes calling for public comment and additional environmental studies.
