DNO may add development well at West Bukha offshore Oman

Offshore staff

OSLO, NorwayDNO International says the Bukha and West Bukha fields in block 8 offshore Oman produced on average 15,678 boe/d last year.

A new development well could be drilled to increase West Bukha’s oil and gas output.

Offshore the UAE, the company’s Saleh field continues to produce small volumes of gas and liquids on an intermittent basis.

At the Sfax Offshore exploration permit in the Tunisian sector of the Mediterranean Sea, the Jawhara-3 well was completed last month after reaching TD of 2,815 m (7,168 ft).

The company says the Douleb and Bireno formations proved to be water bearing in compartments targeted by the well, while two other secondary objectives had oil shows.

The partners are analyzing logging and testing results to re-evaluate the Jawhara field’s in-place oil.
