Xcite signs MOU for North Sea Bentley jackup

BANCHORY, UKXcite Energy Resources has entered a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China Oilfield Services Ltd. (COSL) for the heavy-oil Bentley field development in the UK northern North Sea.

Under the MOU, COSL will provide a newbuild Keppel FELS N Class Plus harsh-environment jackup for Bentley, along with equipment and personnel.

Final specifications should be agreed on soon, allowing construction to proceed at the Keppel FELS yard in Singapore.
