RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras’ oil and gas production reached a new high last month of 2.795 MMboe/d, up 0.5% from September’s figure.
The rise was mainly due to the ramp up of new production systems, namely the P-58 platform at Parque das Baleias and P-55 and P-62 at Roncador (both fields are in the Campos basin); and the FPSOs Cidade de Paraty at Lula Nordeste, Cidade de São Paulo at Sapinhoá, and Cidade de Mangaratiba at Iracema Sul field (all in the Santos basin).
Presalt oil production also reached a new record of 606,000 b/d in October, up 14% from September’s 532,000 b/d.
During October the company started up 10 new offshore wells in both these basins, including three producers and seven injectors, lifting the total number of wells entering service this year to 63.
Petrobras’ fleet of pipelay support vessels grew to 18 units with the start-up of Sapura Topázio, North Ocean 102, and Coral Atlântico in October. The Estrela do Mar vessel is expected to arrive in December.
