BMT extends Kizomba role to TLP monitoring

Offshore staff

LONDON – Esso Angola has contracted BMT Scientific Marine Services to provide maintenance services for monitoring systems on the two Kizomba TLPs.

Previously BMT installed integrated marine monitoring systems (IMMS) on the TLP and FPSO facilities for both Kizomba field developments, in addition to subsea riser tension monitoring systems.

Under the new contract, the company will be responsible for servicing and maintenance on system instrumentation exposed to offshore conditions and ensuring continued function and accuracy of data.

BMT plans twice-yearly service visits involving calibration checks, software maintenance and updates, and remote technical support.
