NIDC expands Kish field development offshore Iran

TEHRAN, Iran – National Iranian Drilling Co. (NIDC) has completed 85% of a new development drilling campaign at the Kish field in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

This is the second largest gas reservoir in the Iranian offshore sector after South Pars, with in-place reserves estimated at 66 tcf (1.9 tcm), with 514 MMbbl of condensate. NIDC is drilling 12 wells and one repair well. Petroleum Engineering and Development Co. is the operator.
