EMAS AMC selects SpeedCast for satellite communications

SINGAPOREEMAS AMC’s subsea construction services division has awarded SpeedCast International Ltd. a multi-year contract to provide satellite communication systems for EMAS’ fleet of offshore construction vessels.

The new satellite service provides high-performance broadband connectivity for data and voice on EMAS AMC vessels and client platforms. SpeedCast will cover 12 EMAS AMC vessels. 

The SpeedCast communications solution leverages both Ku-band and C-band frequencies to meet EMAS AMC requirements, which include office and ship management applications and voice telephony, as well as crew communications.  

The contract is for an initial three-year period, with options to extend for an additional two years. The service also has the option to be extended to additional vessels.
