Manora on course for start-up offshore Thailand

WEST PERTH, Australia – Tap Oil Ltd. has issued an update on the Mubadala Petroleum-operated Manora oil development in the northern Gulf of Thailand.

Production is expected to start in September, and progress has not been impacted by recent political events in Thailand.

Earlier this week the subsea work was completed, including installation of the CALM buoy, risers, and connections to the subsea pipeline end manifold that had been set down earlier.

Phase 2 of the offshore program, the load-out and installation of the topsides, is due to start early in July to accommodate lift vessel availability. The topsides should be in place in mid-July.

Also in July, the leased FSO, owned by Omni Offshore Terminals, should arrive on location.

In mid-August, the Atwood Oceanics-supplied rig is expected to start drilling the two Manora development wells required for first oil production.
