Bluewater to provide deepwater Kaombo FPSO turrets

HOOFDDORP, the NetherlandsSaipem has contracted Bluewater Energy Services to engineer deepwater turret mooring systems for two converted FPSOs for the Kaombo project offshore Angola.

Additionally, Bluewater will procure and construct two turret and swivel systems.

Kaombo is in block 32 in a water depth of 1,650 m (5,413 ft). Operator Total plans 59 subsea wells, connected through around 300 km (186 mi) of subsea lines, to the two 125,000-b/d FPSOs.
