Topaz secures widespread work for supply vessel fleet

Offshore staff

DUBAI, UAE – Topaz Energy and Marine achieved 94.5% use of its supply vessel fleet during 2013.

The company committed to add seven new vessels, of which five are to be delivered this year.

Take-up has been particularly strong in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea and in the northern Russian sector, where the company has 13 “assets” working on Lukoil’s V. Filanovsky development.

In the Middle East, Topaz expects further growth in business offshore Qatar and Saudi Arabia due to its strong relationships with Maersk Oil, Occidental, and Saudi Aramco.

The company has 10 vessels operating off West Africa and was recently awarded a contract to deploy two large platform supply vessels. It will look to assign more vessels to this area during 2014.
