OMV cleared to drill in Barents Sea

OSLO, NorwayOMV Norge has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for an exploration well in the Barents Sea.

The semisubmersible Transocean Barents will drill well 7324/7-2 in 418 m (1,371 ft) of water in production license 537.

Drilling is estimated to last 52 days, depending on whether a discovery results.
