ASTRAKHAN, Russia – Lukoil says the Krasnye Barrikady shipyard has begun construction of the living quarter platform (LQP-2) for the second stage of the Vladimir Filanovsky field development in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

The shipyard will build two bearing blocks, topsides, and a bridge to connect the LQP-2 with the ice-resistant platform (IRP-2).

LQP-2, due to be commissioned in fall 2016, will accommodate 55 personnel and include a helipad.
