The $154-million contract covers design, construction, trials, and commissioning of four platform supply vessels (PSVs) and two anchor handling towing, supply, and standby vessels (AHTSSVs) with 150-metric ton (165-ton) bollard pull.
All the vessels will be equipped with DP-2 dynamic positioning with equipment for fire-fighting, emergency response, rescue and standby, offshore supply, oil recovery, and other duties.
The PSVs, due to be delivered in 1Q 2015, will feature diesel-electric propulsion. The AHTSSVs, incorporating diesel-hybrid, should be delivered in 4Q 2015.
Last year Halul ordered four additional PSVs and AHTSSVs from Larsen & Toubro.
