CAMAC contracts drillship for offshore Nigeria

HOUSTON – CAMAC Energy (NYSE:CAK) has contracted with Northern Offshore (OSLO:NOF.OL) to use the drillship Energy Searcher offshore Nigeria.

The rig is expected at the Oyo field in OML 120 in the first half of 2014. The contract is for one year initially with a one-year extension option.

Energy Searcher can drill to a TD of 25,000 ft (7,620 m) in water depths to 2,500 ft (762 m).
