Seadrill sells West Leo and West Sirius

HAMILTON, Bermuda Seadrill Ltd. has agreed with Seadrill Partners to sell the West Leo semisubmersible drilling rig to Seadrill Operating LP, and its West Sirius semi drilling rig to Seadrill Capricorn Holdings LLC.

The price of the West Leo is $1.250 billion, while the price of the West Sirius is $1.035 billion. Seadrill Partners will satisfy the cash portion of its purchase price of the acquisitions with the proceeds of equity issuances and borrowings from Seadrill Ltd.
