HAMBURG, Germany – Britain’s Department of Energy and Climate Change has awarded RWE Dea three more licenses under the UK’s 27th offshore oil and gas licensing round.

All are in the southern gas basin. The company will have a 100% stake in P2109, containing blocks 42/22b and 42/23a, which is close to the company’s recently onstream Breagh gas field development.

The company also gained a 40% interest in P2119, containing blocks 48/24a and 48/25c, which area adjacent to its producing Clipper South gas field.

The third award is a 50% interest in P2134 (blocks 43/25b and 44/21c). All three licenses carry an initial four-year term.
