Rocksource joins two North Sea partnerships

OSLO, NorwayRocksource ASA has concluded two license agreements offshore Norway.

The company is farming into production licenses PL455 and PL509. PL 455 takes in four part-blocks with oil prospects west of the Yme area. A drill-or-drop decision is due in 1Q 2014.

PL 509 is south of the Gullfaks area of the North Sea, and also has oil targets. If the North Energy-led consortium opts for an exploration well, this could be drilled during 1Q 2015.

Rocksource plans to participate in three Norwegian offshore exploration wells next year.
