ENSCO receives second jackup from Keppel FELS

Offshore staff

SINGAPORE -- Keppel FELS Ltd has delivered its second harsh environment ENSCO 120 Series jackup to ENSCO.

The ENSCO 121, which can operate in water depths of up to 400 ft, is the second of four jackups that Keppel FELS is building for the contractor. ENSCO 120, delivered earlier this year, is currently operating in the North Sea.

All are an enhanced version of the KFELS Super A Class design, incorporating Keppel's proprietary jacking and fixation system. They are designed to drill to depths of 40,000 ft for large multi-well platform campaigns, ultra-deep gas programs and ultra-long reach wells.

ENSCO 122, due to be delivered in mid-2014, has been contracted for long-term assignments in the North Sea. The fourth rig, ENSCO 123, should be delivered in 2Q 2016.
