Occidental extends jackup contract offshore Qatar

DOHA, QatarOccidental Petroleum of Qatar has contracted Gulf Drilling International (GDI) for continued use of the jackup Al Rayyan through March 2015.

Currently, Oxy Qatar uses Al Rayyan and Al Wajba, another GDI-owned rig, for its development programs on the Idd Al Shargi and Al Rayyan fields. Al Wajba recently resumed service following a maintenance program.
