Dolphin signs up Veripos for seismic positioning services

Offshore staff

BERGEN, Norway – Dolphin Geophysical has awarded Veripos a three-year contract to provide satellite positioning services onboard the seismic acquisition vessels Artemis Arctic, Artemis Atlantic, Polar Duke, and Polar Duchess.

Services will later be extended to include the new 96-m (315-ft) vessel Sanco Swift, due to be commissioned later this year.

All five vessels will use Veripos’ latest Apex and Ultra dual-beam Precise Point Positioning services employing both GPS and Glonass constellations supported by an NTrip Internet-based correction service.

Associated onboard hardware for each vessel comprises triple Veripos LD6/LD2 modular receivers with Verify QC processing software for real-time monitoring and control.
