The construction spread will include the company’s AMP 500 plough & BFP backfill plough. Installation is expected to be performed this summer from the Maersk Assister. Ithaca Energy operates Stella in block 30/6a.

Offshore Mexico, DeepOcean has secured a 20-month extension of its contract for the Atlantic Challenger from Constructora Subacuatica Diavaz through end-2014. The original contract was awarded in 2011, although the vessel had been operating in Mexican waters for several years under previous contracts with Diavaz. It provides topside and subsea construction support, inspection, maintenance, and repair work for PEMEX.

Finally, DeepOcean B.V. has agreed to a five-year charter of the newbuild subsea support vessel MV Deep Helder with SeaMar Subsea. It will work on survey, inspection, maintenance and repair and trenching projects.
