TWMA to clean up Premier rig waste

Offshore staff

ABERDEEN, UK – Premier Oil has awarded TWMA a $3.2-million contract to dispose of drill cuttings and associated materials from a drilling program in the UK central North Sea.

The waste will be taken from the semisubmersible WilPhoenix to TWMA’s thermal processing plant at Peterhead, eastern Scotland, for treatment via TWMA’s TCC RotoMill technology.

This program will continue when the rig moves north to drill west of Shetland.

The contract runs until August 2014 with two optional one-year extensions.
