TGS at work on 3D seismic survey offshore Northwest Australia

PERTH, Australia – TGS (Oslo:TGS) has started acquisition of a multi-client 3D seismic survey offshore northwest Australia.

The Three Bears projects covers 460 sq km (178 sq mi) in the Carnarvon basin adjacent to the Clio and Gorgon gas fields.

The Geo Caspian is conducting the survey, and data processing by TGS is scheduled to be available in 2Q 2013.

TGS also is reprocessing the Cazadores survey over 4,350 sq km (1,680 sq mi) of the Exmouth Plateau.

Upon completion of Three Bears, TGS will have more than 17,500 sq km (6,757 sq mi) of 3D coverage over the region.
