Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway – Aker Solutions won a contract to supply a complete drilling equipment package to Jurong Shipyard for a newbuild deepwater drillship. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

The drillship, bound for the Brazilian market, will be the second of seven vessels to be delivered by Jurong. Aker's work scope includes project management, engineering, topside equipment, subsea package, and commissioning of the rigs at Jurong's yard in Brazil.

In August 2012, Aker Solutions announced the agreement to supply six drilling equipment packages to Jurong Shipyard. The contract included an option for an additional drilling package, which has now been exercised.

The equipment will be delivered from Aker’s facilities in Norway, Germany and Brazil.
