GoM offshore production platform explosion reported

HOUSTON – There are reports of an explosion on a production platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Official reports are not yet available, but the AP says two people are missing and the US Coast Guard is reported to have taken four people by helicopter to a hospital. The production platform is said to be owned by Black Elk Energy and is 25 mi (40 km) southeast of Grand Isle, Louisiana.
