OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved DONG E&P Norge’s latest exploration drilling program in the North Sea.

This concerns well 3/7-8S on license PL147 in the southern Norwegian sector, which includes the Trym field in block 3/7. The jackup Maersk Guardian will drill the well, targeting a prospect just south of Trym in 65 m (213 ft) water depth.

The program will start in mid-November, and is expected to last 60 days.
