Tamar platform sails to East Mediterranean

Offshore staff

HOUSTON – Noble Energy says the platform for its Tamar field development offshore Israel has left Corpus Christi, Texas, and will be installed during the current quarter.

First gas sales should begin sales in less than six months.

Also in the Israeli sector, the company says the Noa and Pinnacles wells performed better than expected and, combined with output from Mari-B, lifted Noble’s average gas production from Israel for 3Q 2012 to 116 MMcf/d (3.3 MMcm/d).
