WorleyParsons working on Peregrino field expansion

Offshore staff

HOUSTON – WorleyParsons has won an engineering, procurement, and management assistance contract for the Peregrino II field development offshore Brazil.

Work on the contract started in June, with options to proceed into the detailed design and fabrication phases pending project sanctioning by the partners and Brazilian authorities.

South Atlantic Holding BV (a Netherlands-based joint venture between Statoil and Sinochem) awarded the work, which is being managed by WorleyParsons Europe and CNEC WorleyParsons Brazil. WorleyParsons acquired CNEC Engenharia in 2010.

The Peregrino field is in the southwestern part of the Campos basin in around 100 m (328 ft) of water, 85 km (53 mi) offshore.

The contract scope covers the planned Peregrino Phase II facilities, comprising a wellhead platform (WHP C) with integrated drilling facilities and a living quarters module tied back to the existing FPSO.
