Offshore staff

LONDON – The Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone has ratified the award of offshore block SL-4A-10 to African Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (NSX:AOQ).

The exploration block is 1,995 sq. km (770 sq. mi) in area and is 90-150 km (56-93 mi) northwest of Anadarko’s recent Upper Cretaceous discoveries.

African Petroleum will target the prospective fan systems in block SL-4A-10 and already has identified a number of prospects for verification on the 3D data. SL-4A-10 is adjacent to SL-03 (African Petroleum 100%), which covers an area of 3,860 sq. km (1,490 sq. mi) on which 3D seismic has already been acquired and an extensive Upper Cretaceous fan system has been identified, extending onto SL-4A-10.
