BP offloads stake in Draugen offshore Norway

STAVANGER, Norway – BP is selling its 18.36% interest in the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea to operator AS Norske Shell for $240 million.

Net BP production from Draugen averages about 6,000 b/d. The deal is expected to be completed by end-2012, subject to regulatory approval.
