Weatherford calls on CIS for installations offshore Colombia

GREAT YARMOUTH, UK – Weatherford Colombia has contracted Conductor Installation Services Ltd. to provide conductor installation services for Equion Energia Ltd. offshore Colombia.

The work will be on Equion’s shallow water Mapale-1 and -2 wells in the RC5 block off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia. CIS will install two 30-in. driven conductors for Weatherford, the first in late spring, and the second in mid-summer. In addition to installing the conductors, CIS will provide conductor make-up and cold-cutting services, and a variety of installation tooling equipment, including hammers, conductor handling tools, and cold cutting equipment. 

Support will come from the CIS base in Lafayette, Louisiana.
