CALGARY, CanadaGeoGlobal Resources expects to drill two deepwater exploration wells- one on each of the Myra and Sara licenses- this year offshore Israel.

Toward end-March, the Israel Petroleum Commissioner granted the company’s request to extend the planned drilling program on these permits due to the delay in the arrival of the scheduled rig.

The first drilling date was accordingly extended to June 15. On completion of the first well on the Samuel license, work will start immediately on the second well.

In addition, the company expects to complete processing and interpretation of recently acquired 43 sq km (16.6 mi) of ocean bottom cable 3D seismic data.

Offshore India, the company is participating in development of the Deen Dayal West gas condensate field (DDW).

The jackup Deep Driller-1 has completed drilling of the initial section of four development wells from the DDW wellhead platform.

The Nabors-supplied platform rig has transferred to the facility to complete drilling of the four development wells and the seven remaining planned wells.
