Wintershall gets drilling go-ahead for offshore Norway

OSLO, Norway – Wintershall Norge has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for exploration drilling in the northern Norwegian North Sea.

The semisub Borgland Dolphin will drill well 33/6-4 on production license 370 in 328 m (1,076 ft) water depth, 178 km (110 mi) west of the supply base outside Florø.

Operations could start in mid-May, and should last 46 days.
