Offshore staff

LARNACA, Cyprus – Statoil has awarded Prosafe contracts for use of two accommodation support semisubmersibles in the Norwegian North Sea.

The Safe Scandinavia will be stationed for a firm nine-month period at Snorre A, where on-site operations are scheduled to start by March 2014. Statoil has an additional three-month option, and can extend the firm period to 16 months on or before end-June 2012. If all options are taken up, the total value of the contract will be around $132.8 million.

Prosafe’s Regalia will provide accommodation support for the Svalin/Grane tieback development for a firm five months, with operations due to begin by February 2014. Statoil has four additional one-month options and if exercised, Regalia will relocate to the Brage platform. In this case, the total value would be $74.7 million.
