Offshore staff

RICHMOND, UK – Reef Subsea subsidiary Scanmudring has won a seabed dredging contract from A/S Norske Shell for the Ormen Lange Mid-North field development in the Norwegian Sea. Scanmudring will use its newbuild Scanmachine 4.

The project aims to make final seabed preparation for pipelay over a curved route. Scanmachine 4 will be integrated with the Ormen Lange in-field LBL positioning system to contribute to the ± 20-cm (8-in) tolerances.

Ormen Lange Mid-North field is in 950 m (3,117 ft) water depth and has an uneven seabed composed mainly of hard clay.
