Salamander seeks cash for offshore Thailand projects

LONDON – Salamander Energy intends to raise $201 million via a share issues.

If successful, the proceeds will be used on the following:

  • Add platform-based oil processing facilities at the Bualuang oil field in the Gulf of Thailand in order to reduce operating costs and extend the field’s economic life
  • To contract a second rig in the Gulf of Thailand to drill at least six exploration wells, in parallel to the development program to be performed by the Atwood Mako rig
