OTC 2012: Dow Corning to feature new deepwater insulation

HOUSTON – Subsea thermal insulation for deepwater immersion will be featured by Dow Corning Corp. at OTC this year.

Protecting piping and components with new Dow Corning XTI-1003 Silicone Rubber Insulation provides both corrosion prevention and thermal protection, says the company.

This new silicone insulation is easy to apply and can be cured in unlimited thicknesses. The wide-temperature-range material is translucent to enable visual inspection.
