Norwegian/Brazilian offshore crane consortium formed

BERGEN, Norway – Bergen Group Dreggen has signed an agreement with Koch Metalúrgica concerning supply of offshore cranes for Brazil’s oil and gas sector.

“The goal is that we together can position ourselves as a major supplier of offshore cranes in Brazil,” said Halldor Rongve, managing director of Bergen Group Dreggen. “Through the entered consortium Dreggen-Koch, we can from now on manufacture our cranes in Brazil and immediately comply with the local content requirements.”

Koch Metalúrgica, based in Rio Grande do Sul state, was established in 1924 and supplies cranes and lifting equipment throughout Latin America.
