COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Nikoil has applied to the Danish Energy Agency for an exploration and production license in the Danish North Sea.

Under Denmark’s Open Door Procedure, oil companies may apply for licenses at any time of the year between Jan. 2 and Sept. 30.

This covers all non-licensed acreage east of 6° 15' eastern longitude, but not the westernmost part of the Danish North Sea.
