Pacific Scirocco at work offshore Nigeria for Total

LUXEMBOURG – Pacific Drilling’s Pacific Scirocco ultra-deepwater drillship has started work offshore Nigeria for Total under a one-year contract. The contract has options for as much as four additional years at Total’s discretion.

The Pacific Scirocco is capable of operating in water depths of up to 12,000 ft (3,658 m) and drilling wells 40,000 ft (12,192 m) deep.

Pacific Drilling has two more newbuild drillships under construction at Samsung.
