SAN ANTONIO – TerraSpark Geosciences has launched its first series of seismic interpretation toolkits. The toolkits’ unveiling came at the SEG Annual Meeting.
These toolkits are designed to enable interpreters and explorationists to solve today’s most demanding and resource-intensive seismic interpretation problems, said TerraSpark. Each kit can be modified for any interpretation task using TerraSpark’s Insight Earth software platform.
The toolkits include:
• Shale Resource Play. This helps users locate enhanced fracture density and optimize the well path for maximum production. By mapping micro-seismic data with seismic and well data, the tool helps identify facies-charged boundaries and reduces drilling risk.
• Complex Structure. This helps overcome inaccurate and incomplete fault interpretation, especially in complex, highly faulted areas. The kit is designed to identify and interpret complicated structural environments.
• Salt Velocity Modeling. This helps create a closed three-dimensional geobody. Users also can create a mask volume without exporting to a separate velocity modeling package.
