AF Gruppen confirms North Sea platform removal award

OSLO, Norway – AF Group has agreed to a $76-million contract for the H7 platform removal project in the North Sea.

The contract was signed with Statoil, acting on behalf of Gassco, operator of the Norwegian gas trunklines venture Gassled.

The agreement covers planning, engineering, removal and demolition of the installation. It also includes an option to decommission a similar platform, B11.

However, the contract is conditional on by the other Gassled partners on implementation of the removal project.
