Chevron extends RBG support role

ABERDEEN, UK – RBG has won a three-year contract to provide Chevron North Sea with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspection services. The company has provided similar inspection services to Chevron since 2002.

The contract involves supply of full time and ad hoc personnel, including principal and senior QA/QC inspectors, to deliver third party vendor inspection services for Chevron offshore and onshore the UK, Continental Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific.

RBG’s team supports newbuild construction and servicing of equipment for Chevron’s drilling, completion, subsea, and topside activity. It also assists Chevron in ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with required industry standards and meets the company’s specifications.

Activities range from witnessing the manufacture of pipe production at pipe mills in Japan to inspecting wellheads fabricated in Europe and North America.

Additionally, RBG provides auditors to check a manufacturer’s management system, technical capability, product delivery, process control, contract compliance, and plant evaluation.
