SINGAPORE -- Keppel Shipyard will shortly deliver the FPSO Lewek EMAS for use on a development project offshore southern Vietnam.

EMAS Production will manage and operate the converted vessel, formerly a 168,000 dwt Suezmax tanker. It has been chartered by Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore for the development of the Chim Sáo field for six years, optionally extendable by another six years. The charter contract is valued at around $1 billion.

The vessel will be delivered to PV Keez, a joint venture between Ezra Holdings, PetroVietnam Transportation Corp., EOC, and KSI Production.
